Solution Architect – Network & Communications
Location: preferably Austin, TX; however, can be 100% remote for the right candidate
Position Overview:
Seeking a Solution Architect (Network & Communications) to lead viability and feasibility studies, architecture development, and solution roadmaps from concept to deployment. This role involves end-to-end infrastructure planning, including hardware procurement, network design, and deployment strategies to support scalable and high-performance communications environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect network and communications solutions, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct viability and feasibility studies to evaluate emerging technologies, business requirements, and implementation risks.
- Develop end-to-end infrastructure roadmaps, from initial design through procurement, implementation, and full deployment.
- Define hardware procurement strategies, aligning technology investments with infrastructure setup and project objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to align solution architecture with business and technical requirements.
- Support network and infrastructure planning, including topology design, security considerations, and performance optimization.
- Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, compliance standards, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership in network automation, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and next-generation communication platforms.
- Develop technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational guidelines.
- Guide projects through implementation and post-deployment support, ensuring seamless integration into enterprise environments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong background in network architecture, communications systems, and infrastructure planning.
- Experience in feasibility studies, technical assessments, and solution roadmaps for large-scale deployments.
- Proficiency in network protocols, security, and hardware selection for enterprise and mission-critical environments.
- Hands-on experience with hardware procurement and infrastructure setup, including vendor management.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, cloud networking, edge computing, and software-defined infrastructure.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
