Client Support Technician / Systems Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking Client Systems Technicians/Systems Admins (and team leads) to provide IT support, system administration, and software license management at Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, managing IT assets, and maintaining system security while supporting Air Force personnel. The ideal candidate will leverage ITIL frameworks, network security principles, and service management platforms like ServiceNow and BMC.


Key Responsibilities:

Client System Support:

  • Provide technical support for Air Force hardware, software, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot IT issues via ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow, BMC) and resolve within two business days.
  • Maintain network/system operations, including OS updates, security patches, and firmware upgrades.
  • Support Audio/Visual (A/V) and Video Teleconference (VTC) systems.

Software License & IT Asset Management:

  • Track and manage software licenses, agreements, and updates in compliance with DAFMAN 17-1203.
  • Serve as Alternate Property Custodian (PC), maintaining accurate inventory in DPAS.
  • Assist with annual IT asset audits, procurement, and disposal.

Cybersecurity & Compliance:

  • Perform STIG implementations, vulnerability assessments, and security patches.
  • Track and remediate IAVM vulnerabilities.
  • Follow ITIL and DoD cybersecurity best practices for system security and compliance.


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3+ years in IT support, system administration, or asset management.
  • Expertise in Windows OS, MS Office Suite, LAN infrastructure, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Experience troubleshooting with ServiceNow, Remedy, BMC, and enterprise IT support platforms.

Certifications:

  • Intermediate-level per DoDM 8140.03

Security Clearance:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
