Here's a glimpse into the typical responsibilities and expectations for this role:


-Participate in the design, assembly, and testing of electrical components across various devices and systems.

-Responsibilities include schematic creation and review, wiring diagram generation, and overseeing manufacturing processes.

-Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with electrical test equipment are essential.

-Occasionally evaluate existing or proposed designs to identify areas for improvement.

-Key competencies include:

  • Integration of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) equipment like RF communications, GPS systems, and power supplies.
  • Experience with PCB layout and schematic capture, preferably using Altium and analog circuit design.
  • Safe handling of high voltage/ current circuits during testing.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) and electronic filter circuits.
  • Knowledge of op-amps and standard test equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Understanding of embedded computer systems, microprocessor technologies, and GNU/Linux.
  • Basic proficiency in crimping/soldering and creating design process documents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform moderate physical tasks.


-Additional skills such as networking experience, high voltage design, MBSE tool familiarity, acoustics knowledge, and soldering certification are advantageous but not mandatory.

-Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in COTS electronics.

This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) matching, health and dental insurance, paid time off, parental leave, professional development support, and relocation assistance. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts.
