Okta / Identity and Access Management Engineer
Location: Downtown Austin, TX — onsite (hybrid)
Compensation: $110,000–$130,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a 15% target annual bonus and equity awards
Employment: Full-time
About the Opportunity
Our client operates large-scale Bitcoin mining facilities and hosts the high-performance computing infrastructure that powers AI workloads. As the business expands its AI data center operations, it is building out the corporate IT team needed to support that growth. We’re seeking an experienced Okta specialist to own and improve its identity platform—strengthening security, automating employee access, and helping a growing organization scale.
This is an opportunity to improve an existing platform, put underused capabilities to work, and establish reliable processes as the organization grows. You’ll work with an IT leader who values collaboration, initiative, and clear ownership—and gives team members room to make decisions and deliver results.
The Role
You will serve as the primary technical owner of Okta, responsible for application integrations, authentication policies, identity lifecycle management, and workflow automation.
Your initial focus will be understanding the current environment, identifying gaps, and working with IT and Security to prioritize improvements. You’ll help move manual processes into dependable workflows, strengthen access controls, and document how the environment operates.
Deep, practical Okta experience is the priority. Additional experience across Microsoft identity services, endpoint management, and enterprise SaaS platforms is valuable, but secondary to your ability to own and improve Okta independently.
