Superintendent

Apply for this job

We’re seeking a hands-on Construction Superintendent who thrives in fast-paced, rotating project environments and takes full ownership from mobilization to closeout. The ideal candidate balances field leadership, strong client communication, and decisive problem-solving under pressure.

This role involves heavy travel (6 weeks on / 1 week off), with projects ranging from multi-million-dollar hotel renovations to commercial interiors—typically occupied, schedule-compressed, and quality-driven.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the site from day one: mobilization, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and closeout.
  • Drive daily safety culture — conduct huddles, JSAs, toolbox talks; enforce PPE and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain communication with PMs and clients to manage expectations and document progress.
  • Run field documentation: daily reports, inspections, photos, change orders, RFIs, safety logs, and punch lists.
  • Anticipate schedule risks — resequence work, escalate early, and keep crews accountable for performance.
  • Verify work completion and quality before pay applications and release of retainage.
  • Partner with project management to handle change orders, RFIs, and client updates efficiently.
  • Support team cohesion and uphold a “fix it at the lowest level” culture to maintain collaboration.

What You Bring

  • Field leadership experience as Superintendent or Senior Foreman overseeing commercial or hospitality projects ($2M+).
  • Experience managing occupied renovations, ideally in hotels or multifamily environments.
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction and finish sequencing.
  • Competence in change management, schedule recovery, and subcontractor accountability.
  • Excellent communication and situational awareness — trusted by clients and respected by subs.
  • Working knowledge of RFI, change order, and pay application processes.
  • Proficiency with tablets, project apps, and digital reporting tools.
  • Calm, professional presence under pressure and a collaborative mindset.

Travel & Compensation

  • Rotation: 6 weeks on-site / 1 week off (mandatory paid rest week).
  • Per Diem: ~$50/day (adjusted for high-cost markets).
  • Lodging: Company-provided Airbnb or equivalent.
  • Truck / Allowance: Company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, and company phone.
  • Benefits: Health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield), PTO (80 hours/year, accrual-based), and paid sick leave.
  • Base Salary: $75K–$95K, commensurate with experience and performance.

Why You’ll Like It

  • You’ll have ownership of your site and support from leadership that’s walked in your boots.
  • A company culture that values communication, accountability, and problem-solving, not bureaucracy.
  • Projects that keep you sharp — quick turnarounds, diverse scopes, and visible impact.
