Operations Manager — Restoration
About the Opportunity
A growing, owner-operated restoration company is seeking an Operations Manager to lead mitigation operations with a clear path to broader leadership. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to two owners with multi-business ownership experience who are well capitalized and committed to mentoring the right person into running the business over time.
What You'll Own
- Lead day-to-day mitigation operations, including job oversight, quality control, and production management
- Meet with customers, scope and estimate jobs, and close work
- Manage and develop direct reports; fill production gaps personally when the team is short
- Hire, train, and retain field talent as the business scales
- Partner with the outside sales/BD function to convert leads into long-term accounts
- Potential to oversee rebuild operations depending on experience and comfort level
What You Won't Be Burdened With
- Company financials outside of job-level economics
- Broad HR administration beyond managing your direct team
Who We're Looking For
- 7+ years in restoration with strong field competency across water, mold, and ideally fire
- Background as a Senior or Executive Project Director, Senior Estimator, Operations Manager, GM, or Branch Manager at a regional or national restoration company
- Proven ability to scope, estimate, sell, and produce work
- Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to build long-term commercial relationships
- Experience managing superintendents, crew chiefs, and subcontractor networks
- Comfort writing in Xactimate; familiarity with DocuSketch and modern estimating tools a plus
- A book of business or established referral relationships is a significant advantage
Compensation
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience (range scales meaningfully for proven A-players)
- Performance bonus tied to growth metrics
- Profits interest available for the right candidate, with participation in a future liquidity event
- Realistic earnings trajectory into the $150K–$200K+ range as the business scales under your leadership
Why This Role
- Direct mentorship from two experienced owners
- Strong operational support already in place, including a high-performing coordinator and a stable rebuild function
- Active outside sales and digital marketing investment driving lead flow
- Genuine runway to step into a GM seat and build the team you want around you
- Confidential search — discretion guaranteed throughout the process
