Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Manager to lead a disaster restoration team. This role requires a strong background in restoration operations, the ability to manage crews and resources, and a commitment to customer service. The Mitigation Manager will oversee production, scheduling, documentation, and operational performance to ensure projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Responsibilities

  • Manage production crews and jobs in alignment with industry standards.
  • Assign and coordinate jobs with crews; supervise scheduling and project requirements.
  • Provide clear and accurate pretesting, scoping, and estimating.
  • Ensure customer needs are met on all assigned jobs.
  • Oversee scheduling of jobs, crews, and resources.
  • Review scopes, estimates, job diaries, and work orders for accuracy.
  • Maintain production capacity through proper staffing, equipment, and supply management.
  • Train, recruit, and manage production personnel.
  • Ensure strong communication and rapport with commercial, insurance, and residential clients.

Operations Management

  • Meet or exceed company performance targets for cost and labor.
  • Track job profitability, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and supplier negotiations.
  • Implement new technology for improved service delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

Leadership & Decision-Making

  • Hire, coach, and mentor operations personnel.
  • Set strategic goals and objectives for the operations function.
  • Lead production meetings and communicate with leadership on progress.
  • Resolve problems quickly as they arise and support a culture of accountability.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in cleaning and restoration.
  • IICRC certifications strongly preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check (subject to applicable laws).

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including wet, smoky, or dusty environments.
