Our client is a successful international group and a European leader in its category as a part of food processing industry. Active in several countries in the region, their primary focus remains on the markets of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. As part of their transition to centralized operational structures, the logistics function is being consolidated.
We are seeking a Logistics Director (m/f) with proven experience in similar organizational transformations, structures, and industries.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Leading Logistics Transformation: Implement SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM, centralize logistics operations, and introduce advanced transport management systems for increased efficiency.
- Cost Optimization: Manage logistics as a profit centre, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
- Change Management: Standardize processes, introduce new digital tools, and effectively manage responses to change.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, production, and other departments to align supply chain goals.
- Team Development and Motivation: Lead multicultural teams across the region with a focus on performance metrics and efficiency improvements.
What We Expect from Candidates
- A degree or master’s in logistics, economics, or related fields.
- At least 8 years of experience in logistics (including management/establishment of internal logistics, own fleet), including 3 years in a managerial role within an international environment. Candidates with experience in food processing and related industries will have an advantage.
- Proven expertise in implementing SAP systems (S/4HANA, EWM, TM) and logistics centralization.
- Leadership abilities: An experienced and charismatic leader capable of managing diverse, multi-regional teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a results-driven approach.
- Strategic thinking combined with pragmatic decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, with fluency in English.
