Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Matthews, NC, who is actively searching for an experienced Senior Commercial Plumbing Estimator to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $130K annually, based on experience. This in-office role is ideal for a senior-level estimator with strong commercial plumbing experience on large-scale construction projects, particularly within healthcare, hospital, and data center environments. The position may also be a fit for someone with a commercial HVAC estimating background, provided they have substantial experience estimating piping scopes rather than ductwork alone.

Requirements of the Senior Commercial Plumbing Estimator:
● Minimum of 5+ years of commercial estimating experience required
● Strong experience estimating large-scale commercial projects ranging from $25MM–$100MM
● Background in commercial plumbing estimating required; commercial HVAC estimating experience acceptable if focused on piping scopes
● Experience supporting healthcare, hospital, data center, or other highly technical commercial construction projects preferred
● Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare complete project estimates
● Strong understanding of labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor pricing development
● Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered
● Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and general preconstruction tools preferred
Responsibilities of the Senior Commercial Plumbing Estimator:
● Review plans, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed plumbing and piping estimates
● Prepare complete cost proposals including labor, materials, subcontractor scopes, equipment, and overhead
● Support bidding efforts for complex commercial projects with a focus on healthcare and data center work
● Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to validate pricing and scope assumptions
● Evaluate project risk, lead times, constructability considerations, and cost drivers impacting profitability
● Assist in preparing bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation for timely submission
● Maintain estimating files, historical cost data, and awarded project records for future reference
● Contribute to preconstruction strategy and support cost planning efforts across the estimating team
● Support as needed
