Vale Group has partnered with a company in Durham, NC, who is actively seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to work onsite for a base salary of up to $100K, depending on experience. This role is focused on overseeing all phases of HVAC projects—ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction.

Requirements of the Commercial HVAC Project Manager:

● Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical project management

● Strong knowledge of HVAC plan/spec and design/build projects

● Proficiency with project/job costing software

● Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers

● Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

● Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities of the Commercial HVAC Project Manager:

● Lead project turnover meetings to confirm scope and requirements

● Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of project goals

● Organize kickoff meetings with stakeholders, including foremen, superintendents, and department managers

● Monitor labor hours and provide progress updates to field supervisors

● Coordinate inspections, subcontractors, and project scheduling

● Review and approve daily reports for accuracy and completeness

● Mentor assistant project managers and foremen to ensure project success

● Prepare and manage change orders, RFIs, and project financials including cash flow and forecasting

● Approve vendor, equipment, and subcontractor invoices

● Maintain job site safety standards and enforce OSHA compliance

● Support as needed
