Job Title: Commercial HVAC Project Manager

Job Summary: The Commercial HVAC Project Manager oversees and manages all aspects of HVAC projects for commercial clients. They are responsible for coordinating resources, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are clear and achievable.
  2. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials. Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as necessary to optimize project efficiency.
  3. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure HVAC systems meet industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and testing to verify compliance.
  4. Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and control costs within the approved budget. Prepare financial forecasts and reports to track spending and identify variances.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project delivery or performance.
  6. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members. Provide timely updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  7. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on-site. Ensure all work complies with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Conduct safety meetings and inspections as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in HVAC project management, ideally in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and installation practices.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

  • The role typically involves working both in an office environment and on construction sites.
  • May require occasional travel to project sites and client meetings.
