A&P Certification is required along with 3+ yrs of commercial aircraft experience, preferably Boeing and Airbus. FCC license preferred. This is an exempt opportunity, not eligible for overtime.


Vale Group has partnered with a company based in Orlando, FL, actively searching for an experienced Commercial Aircraft Maintenance Lead to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $90K annually, based on experience. This role requires managing maintenance operations for commercial aircraft, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and maintenance protocols. The position involves close collaboration with flight crews and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and timely resolution of technical issues.


Requirements of the Commercial Aircraft Maintenance Lead:

● Possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating

● Minimum of three years of maintenance experience on large aircraft for an air carrier

● Completion of all necessary initial and recurrent training to fulfill job duties

● Ability to utilize technical manuals with strong mechanical aptitude

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Previous leadership experience preferred

● Strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to work under pressure

● FCC license preferred

● Proficiency in troubleshooting repetitive maintenance items


Responsibilities of the Commercial Aircraft Maintenance Lead:

● Coordinate with Flight Operations and Quality Control to resolve maintenance issues

● Supervise maintenance personnel and provide technical guidance for troubleshooting

● Ensure all maintenance is performed per company manuals and procedures

● Update and maintain the Maintenance Controller Log with accurate aircraft status

● Coordinate the procurement and allocation of necessary parts and tooling

● Communicate current aircraft status to relevant departments and recommend repair priorities

● Monitor delays and ensure timely reporting and documentation of discrepancies
