Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Pleasanton, CA, who is actively searching for an experienced Electrical Project Manager or Estimator to work onsite for an opportunity paying $110,000 - $190,000 per year, based on experience. This position supports commercial electrical work across the East Bay and South Bay, including medical, education and ground-up projects mostly ranging from $50K to $3M. The role can lean toward estimating or project management depending on the individual's background, and strong Assistant Project Managers ready to step up may also be considered. Experience with Accubid is preferred.

Requirements of the Electrical Project Manager / Estimator:
● Proven background estimating and/or managing commercial electrical construction projects
● Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and scope documents
● Working knowledge of requirements and local code standards
● Strong grasp of labor productivity, material pricing and job cost control
● Clear, professional communicator comfortable working with owners, general contractors and field crews
● 3+ years of electrical estimating or project management experience
● Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent trade experience accepted
● Valid driver's license required; journeyman electrician background or electrical certification is a plus
● Design-build experience and familiarity with California Title 24 energy standards are a plus
● Accubid experience preferred
Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Manager / Estimator:
● Prepare detailed estimates, including quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, and supplier quotes
● Develop budgets, alternates and value-engineering options from conceptual or partial drawings
● Lead awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, overseeing schedules, budgets and procurement
● Coordinate manpower and sequencing with field leadership to keep jobs on track
● Serve as the main point of contact for owners, general contractors and design partners
● Process submittals, RFIs, change orders and monthly progress billing
● Track job costs and forecast project profitability
● Coordinate permits and inspections, and visit jobsites to monitor progress and quality
● Assemble closeout documentation, including as-builts and O&M manuals
● Support as needed
