Vale Group has partnered with a company based in Orlando, FL, actively searching for an experienced Avionics Manager to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $130K annually, based on experience. The Avionics Manager will be responsible for overseeing avionics maintenance activities, ensuring company policies and safety protocols are followed. This role coordinates with multiple departments, such as Maintenance Control, Line Maintenance, Quality Control, and Materials, to ensure efficient operations and compliance.
Requirements of the Avionics Manager:
● Hold a valid A&P mechanic certificate with applicable ratings
● Maintain qualifications for Airworthiness Release and ETOPS
● Experience with 747/757/A330 or similar wide-body aircraft preferred
● Minimum of 5 years of avionics supervisory experience
● Strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and inspection techniques
● Previous supervisory or management experience is required
● Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks, including drug testing
● Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities of the Avionics Manager:
● Ensure all avionics personnel are trained and qualified for their roles
● Manage performance evaluations and oversee paperwork accuracy for avionics technicians
● Monitor avionics status across all fleets and coordinate necessary work requests
● Manage and direct avionics functions at all maintenance stations, including AOG technicians
● Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including ETOPS compliance
● Coordinate with Maintenance Control and Materials to ensure timely parts procurement
● Address safety concerns and ensure all employees follow Safety Management System (SMS) protocols
