Please note that while this position is listed as remote, it does require extensive travel.
Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a SAAS company who is actively searching for an experienced Director of Product Management for an opportunity paying up to $200k per year, plus an annual bonus capped at 10%, based on experience. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership seat within a SaaS organization at the forefront of aviation technology, where you will own the product function behind a business-critical aircraft maintenance, compliance, and health-tracking platform. The right leader pairs a strong software pedigree and full-stack fluency with a proven ability to rebuild, develop, and elevate distributed product teams while charting a multi-year vision. Comfort with significant travel domestically — meeting customers and team members alike — along with a track record of tenure and stability, will be highly valued.
Requirements of the Director of Product Management:
● Eight to ten years of experience in product leadership, including at least three spent directly overseeing other product managers
● A demonstrated history of owning software-as-a-service offerings across the complete lifecycle within Agile settings
● A software-first foundation rather than a hardware one, with genuine comfort across both front-end and back-end work
● Familiarity with current platforms, including Microsoft-based environments, frameworks such as Angular, and enterprise-grade SaaS architecture
● A bachelor's degree is required — ideally in engineering, computer science, or a comparable business field — and a master's is a plus
● Hands-on exposure to or strong enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and data-informed features
● Evidence of stability and longevity in past roles, paired with a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership approach
● A background in aviation or aerospace is considered a meaningful advantage
Responsibilities of the Director of Product Management:
● Set and clearly communicate the platform's three-to-five-year direction — its strategy, priorities, and roadmap — in line with corporate objectives and the outcomes customers care about
● Build, coach, and expand a geographically dispersed group of roughly twelve to fifteen product managers spanning the United States and India, while reinforcing and strengthening the function
● Translate long-range direction into customer-focused roadmaps that produce trusted insights and measurable commercial results
● Partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and the customer-success function to deliver high-value, polished releases
● Steer prioritization through data, weighing customer benefit, business value, and engineering effort
● Act as an authority on modern platform design and emerging capabilities such as AI, ML, and conversational interfaces
● Track adoption, performance, and shifting market dynamics to uncover avenues for growth and innovation
● Represent the organization among customers, partners, and throughout the industry, including travel within the U.S. and abroad
● Support as needed
