Vale Group is thrilled to collaborate with a leading company in the power systems sector, currently seeking a dedicated Power Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive salary between 140-180k, reflective of the candidate's experience and expertise in the field. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of three years of experience in electrical engineering, focusing on power systems, a PE license, and knowledge of with NFPA, IEEE and NETA testing. The role involves providing applied engineering and technical support, conducting power system studies, and engaging in field service activities including testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various voltage systems.

Requirements of the Power Systems Engineer:

● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

● PE License

● 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems

● Strong understanding of safety practices in working with electrical equipment

● Experience with NFPA, IEEE and NETA testing standards and practices.

● Valid and unrestricted driver's license

● NICET Electrical Power Testing Certification a plus.

● Existing certification or equivalent skills/experience is desirable for testing procedures.

● Working knowledge and experience in Commissioning and QA/QC practices of electrical distribution equipment is highly desirable.

● Possess understanding of installation and working knowledge of large UPS systems, Static Switches, PDU's is highly desirable

● Experience with power transformer testing is desirable - (Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.)

● Experience with cable testing is desirable - (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hi-Pot)



Responsibilities of the Power Systems Engineer:

● Provide engineering and technical support for power system analysis, design, and troubleshooting

● Conduct field services such as testing, start-up, and commissioning of electrical systems

● Develop technical solutions and proposals for clients, focusing on safety, reliability, and efficiency

● Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction
