Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Hialeah, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Logistics Specialist to work onsite for an opportunity paying $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience. This direct hire role supports an international manufacturing operation with a strong emphasis on import activity, regulatory documentation, and cost control. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing inbound and outbound shipments, with deeper expertise on imports and related charges.

Requirements of the Logistics Specialist:

● Prior experience in an international logistics or supply chain environment

● 4+ years of relevant professional experience

● High school diploma or equivalent; additional education a plus

● Strong background handling import operations; export experience required

● In-depth knowledge of shipping documentation and compliance requirements

● Familiarity with freight-related costs including demurrage, detention, and hazmat fees

● Strong organizational and analytical skills

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office; logistics or ERP systems preferred

Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist:

● Coordinate and manage import and export shipments from origin to final delivery

● Prepare, review, and validate all required shipping and customs documentation

● Track cargo movement and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or exceptions

● Monitor and control logistics-related costs, including demurrage, storage, and hazmat charges

● Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders

● Maintain accurate shipment records and logistics data

● Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations

● Support as needed
