We are seeking a qualified Quality Engineer to work onsite for an opportunity paying a competitive salary, based on experience, which is located in Miami, FL in the area of Hialeah. This role is essential in developing and enforcing process control programs to guarantee that the production of finished goods meets or surpasses customer-specific standards. The ideal candidate will lead efforts in continuous improvement using appropriate quality tools and provide crucial data analysis. Additionally, the role involves managing design and process changes to enhance product performance and handling customer complaints to refine quality processes.

Requirements of the Quality Engineer:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or five years of Quality Engineering experience, plus an additional 3 years in the automotive sector, including experience with injection processes.
  • Proven analytical abilities and strong problem-solving skills are essential, experience with 8D reports preferred.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), inspection layout, and statistical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, high motivation, and strong participative team skills.
  • Capable of interpreting customer quality demands and a strong orientation towards customer satisfaction (particularly in handling customer complaints).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.


Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

  • Ensure alignment with customers' quality standards for assigned products, programs, and functions.
  • Oversee and engage in activities such as PQP/Advanced Product Quality Planning, PPAP/Production Part Approval Process, 8D Report/Eight Discipline problem solving, SPC/Statistical Process Control, and leads Control Plan & PFMEA Development.
  • Generate comprehensive 8D reports in response to customer complaints.
  • Maintain a general understanding of IATF16949 activities and assist in internal Quality training efforts.
  • Actively participate in Six-Sigma/Continuous Improvement initiatives to identify and report on quality problems or trends.
  • Recommend and facilitate appropriate corrective actions for quality-related issues.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resources, and the Quality Department, and report any safety deficiencies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
