Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company near Miami Lakes who is actively searching for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to work onsite for a growing FAA Part 145 repair station serving the commercial aviation sector. A target base range up to ~$280K, excluding bonus. The ideal leader brings strong financial leadership to a certificated, regulated repair operation, leading the financial systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure needed to support the organization's continued growth and operational maturity.
Requirements of the Chief Financial Officer:
● 12 or more years of progressive financial leadership experience,
● At least 5 years in a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance leadership capacity
● Proven experience building or maturing financial systems, controls, and reporting processes within a certificated, regulated operation (Part 145, AS9100, or similar)
● Strong background in cost accounting, job costing, or work-order based financial models common to MRO, manufacturing, or project-based environments
● Hands-on experience partnering with operations on capacity planning, margin analysis, and shop-floor cost visibility, as opposed to purely corporate finance
● Experience with ERP/MRP systems, including implementation or maturation of financial modules
● Deep familiarity with commercial aircraft component overhaul economics; landing gear exposure strongly valued
● OEM or airline customer/contract financial exposure is ideal
● Demonstrated ability to build and lead a finance team spanning accounting, FP&A, and treasury
● Strong track record managing banking relationships, credit facilities, audits, and capital planning
● CPA, MBA, or related advanced credential is a plus
Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer:
● Oversee all financial functions including accounting, FP&A, treasury, and financial reporting
● Translate the company's strategic vision into financial plans, budgets, and measurable performance targets
● Recruit, coach, and develop a high-caliber finance team with clear accountability
● Build and mature scalable financial systems, controls, and reporting processes, including ERP and quality-related cost tracking
● Partner closely with operations leadership on capacity planning, job costing, and margin performance across all shops
● Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, cash flow, and capital allocation
● Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax, and other regulatory financial requirements
● Support the quality and operations organizations in maintaining FAA, EASA, and CAA compliance from a financial controls standpoint
● Strengthen relationships with OEM and airline customers and their finance counterparts, alongside sales and operations teams
● Support as needed
