Engineering Program Manager


Vale Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in the Solon, OH area to identify an experienced Program Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for a customer-focused engineering professional who can manage programs from initial prototyping and development through production while coordinating closely with customers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.


The Program Manager will serve as a key customer contact while driving schedules, resolving manufacturing challenges, coordinating engineering requirements, and ensuring projects successfully transition into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and programs
  • Manage customer communication regarding schedules, development requirements, production concerns, RMAs, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate new product introduction activities from prototype through production
  • Develop and maintain assembly documentation, Device History Records, manufacturing tooling requirements, and process workflows
  • Coordinate initial production training and support production-floor implementation
  • Partner with Test Engineering to develop, install, maintain, and qualify test stations as needed
  • Troubleshoot test failures and develop appropriate troubleshooting documentation and guides
  • Evaluate customer requirements, engineering changes, and manufacturing issues and communicate them across cross-functional teams
  • Work directly with production personnel to resolve manufacturing questions and issues
  • Lead the development of Production Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) activities
  • Prepare, review, and update project quotations and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Partner with quoting and program teams on cost updates, new assemblies, revisions, and project requirements
  • Monitor program schedules and ensure customer expectations and production objectives are achieved


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering; Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience within medical, aerospace, industrial, or similar highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Previous experience working directly with customers in a technical or program management capacity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and project coordination abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CAD platforms such as Altium, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or comparable systems
  • Electrical circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, production, quality, and customer-facing teams
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15%

Someone who has successfully taken products from development into production, understands manufacturing processes, and can communicate effectively with both customers and internal technical teams will be particularly well suited for this opportunity.
