Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Miami, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Senior Production Manager to work onsite for an opportunity starting at $100K, flexible, based on experience and credentials. This leadership role owns day-to-day production across multiple shops within an FAA Part 145 repair station, with primary focus on commercial aircraft landing gear overhaul for Airbus and Boeing platforms. The right candidate has built KPI frameworks from the ground up and knows how to drive accountability, throughput, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced MRO setting.
Requirements of the Senior Production Manager:
● 10 or more years leading production within commercial aircraft MRO operations
● Extensive commercial landing gear overhaul background, with meaningful Airbus A330 expertise strongly preferred
● Hands-on experience with Airbus and Boeing platforms required; exposure to A320, B737, B767, or B777 gear is a plus
● Proven success overseeing multiple shop departments inside an FAA Part 145 repair station
● Demonstrated ability to design and roll out KPI-based production management systems
● Strong command of shop scheduling, workforce planning, capacity management, and performance metrics
● Familiarity with ERP or MRO software platforms preferred
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Operations, or equivalent industry experience
Responsibilities of the Senior Production Manager:
● Lead all daily production activity across landing gear, APU, and accessory departments with an emphasis on safety, quality, and delivery
● Build and maintain a comprehensive KPI structure with dashboards and reporting for executive leadership
● Manage supervisors, leads, and shop personnel while instilling a culture of ownership and discipline
● Drive Lean and continuous improvement efforts to eliminate bottlenecks and lift throughput
● Coordinate priorities and schedules with planning, quality, engineering, purchasing, and customer support
● Allocate resources across departments to meet customer commitments
● Ensure full compliance with FAA, EASA, and internal procedures
● Support strategic growth initiatives including added capabilities and expanded capacity
● Support the shop floor as needed and the team, filling any gaps that arise.
