Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Miami, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Quality Control Manager to work onsite in Miami Gardens. This role leads the quality function for an established FAA Part 145 component repair and overhaul operation servicing landing gear, APUs, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate brings deep command of federal aviation regulations, inspection program oversight, and airworthiness release authority within a component MRO setting - specifically having worked with commercial landing gears (primarily Airbus and Boeing).

Requirements of the Quality Control Manager:

● 7+ years of quality assurance/quality control experience within an FAA Part 145 repair station, component MRO strongly preferred

● Thorough command of 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 45, 65, 91, and 145, along with FAA Order 8900.1 and AC 145-9A

● Familiarity with EASA and CAA-UK regulatory frameworks

● Demonstrated experience administering calibration programs, technical data control, and return-to-service authorization

● Prior leadership over inspection personnel, including designation of return-to-service authority and inspector training

● Strong documentation discipline, including work order auditing, FAA Form 337 preparation, and maintenance release execution

● Knowledge of suspected unapproved parts (SUP) reporting and counterfeit part prevention practices

● Relevant FAA certifications (such as A&P) a strong plus

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager:

● Direct the full inspection cycle, covering receiving, preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections in line with the quality control manual

● Maintain custody and currency of all technical data, including ADs, CMMs, service bulletins, manufacturer specifications, and air carrier requirements

● Administer the calibration program, including monthly audits of measuring tools and test equipment, and keep all associated records current

● Verify airworthiness of incoming materials, vendor-performed work, and all articles prior to release to service

● Oversee part tagging, quarantine, and scrap/mutilation controls so unserviceable items can never re-enter service

● Develop safeguards preventing bogus or unapproved parts from entering the parts system

● Manage the training program and records for inspectors and technicians, including qualification documentation

● Interface with the FAA and customers on certificate inquiries, hidden damage findings, and work scope determinations

● Support the shop floor as needed
