Summary:
The Associate Scientist/Scientist will be part of an Antibody Discovery R&D team will support early discovery efforts using various molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research to support drug discovery programs.
- Perform cell culture work and a variety of cell-based assays.
- Execute gene cloning, plasmid preparation, and processes for antibody expression and purification.
- Characterize antibodies using diverse methods, including Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and HPLC.
- Prepare and submit experimental samples, analyze and report data, and ensure laboratory operations remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
- Collaborate on the design and execution of laboratory experiments to meet specific program objectives.
Education and Experience: BS, MS, or PhD in related scientific discipline (cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, immunology, neuroscience)
- BS- 5+ years of related experience.
- MS - 2+ years of related experience.
- PhD - 0-2 years of related experience.
Skills:
- Familiarity with a range of cellular, molecular biology, and protein chemistry-related methods.
- Hands-on experience with antibody characterization methods, such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and cellular assays, is preferred.
- Experience in antibody gene cloning, expression, and purification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Base Compensation: The expected base compensation for this position is $70,000-90,000. Job title and pay are based on factors including education, experience, and skills.
