Nexagen Search is representing a pharmaceutical company that is hiring a National Sales Director. This is a key commercial leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and will for be responsible for leading a team of field-based sales reps (15) across the United States. This individual will oversee national sales efforts for GI-focused therapeutic brands, driving performance, execution, and growth across the field organization.
Summary:
The National Sales Director is a senior field leadership role responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a national sales organization supporting GI-focused therapeutic brands. This individual will drive sales execution through people leadership, performance management, territory optimization, and operational discipline, while partnering closely with Executive Leadership, Marketing, and other Medical Affairs. This role is not a direct-selling position; success is achieved through building, developing, and enabling a high-performing field sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct management of a national field sales team (currently 15 reps)
Travel Requirements: Extensive travel required. ~50% overnight travel expected.
