Summary:
The Associate Scientist/Scientist will be part of the research and development team and will support drug discovery and preclinical research efforts using various cellular, molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research to support drug discovery programs.
- Perform cell culture, including iPSCs, and variety of cell-based assays.
- Perform biochemical assays such as Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry, ELISA
- Prepare and submit samples, analyze and report the data, maintain safe and efficient lab operations
- Collaborate on the design and execution of laboratory experiments to meet specific program objectives.
Education and Experience:
- BS or MS in related scientific discipline (cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, immunology, neuroscience)
- 1-5 years of professional experience in a research/lab setting.
Skills
- Familiarity with a range of cellular, molecular biology, and protein chemistry-related methods.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting, centrifugation, and basic microscopy.
- Experience with biochemical assays such as Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry, ELISA, and cellular assays.
- Experience working with in vivo research models is preferred
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Base Compensation:
- Associate Scientist: 60-70k plus 10% annual target bonus
- Sr. Associate Scientist: 72-85k plus 10% annual target bonus
