Role Overview:

The Electronic Project Manager leads the engineering and project management activities for customer-driven projects and internal product development. You will provide technical leadership in design, analysis, and documentation while serving as the primary technical bridge between SQM, Purchasing, and the customer during the bidding and sourcing phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership: Manage end-to-end development through design reviews, analytical support, and problem-solving.
  • Supplier & Quality Support: Collaborate with Purchasing on supplier selection and assist the Quality department with supplier audits.
  • Bidding & Pre-Projects: Lead technical activities for bids, including cost estimation, planning, and technical reviews.
  • Team Management: Scale cross-functional teams based on demand; mentor the team to improve efficiency and output.
  • Production Liaison: Support the transfer of technical dossiers to the production line and provide troubleshooting support during manufacturing.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs comply with safety standards/norms and foster a strong internal safety culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to optimize unit processes and design methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BS in Engineering or higher.
  • Languages: Native or professional fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in Project Management.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Technical Development Lead role.
  • Technical Expertise: Specific knowledge of Li-ion Technology and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial and off-road mobility applications and the battery market.
