The Opportunity

Join our expanding specialist tax consulting team which offers income tax and GST advisory services and is seeking to recruit a Tax Manager. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside Directors and other service lines to consult clients on a wide variety of generalist income tax and GST issues including business sales, restructures, various CGT concessions and rollovers, tax consolidations and international tax issues.  

You would ideally have a background in corporate tax consulting in either a Big 4 or a significant second tier accounting practice. Candidates with corporate business experience will also be considered.


We support flexible work arrangements and we also welcome applicants on either a part-time or full-time basis.

  

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

As a key contact for clients and internal stakeholders, you will:

  • Prepare tax technical research and written advice on income tax and GST matters
  • Interpret legislation, case law, and ATO guidance to support client solutions
  • Manage client communications and ensure timely delivery of engagements
  • Scope, quote, and lead tax consulting assignments
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members as needed

About You

You’re a motivated tax professional with:

  • Strong tax technical knowledge and commercial insight
  • Experience interpreting legislation, case law, and ATO guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive approach to identifying tax issues and delivering solutions
  • Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Commerce
  • CA, CTA, or CPA certification is highly desirable
