About the Role

As Senior Mortgage Broker, you'll be the finance specialist behind a wealth-building model that goes well beyond standard lending.

Your clients are property investors — people who are serious about growing their portfolios and building long-term financial security. Your job is to structure lending that supports that journey: from first investment through to multi-property portfolios, construction projects, equity releases, and everything in between.

You'll work closely with the Head of Strategy and broader portfolio team to make sure every finance structure is aligned with where the client is headed — not just what they need today.

This is a role for a broker who finds genuine satisfaction in helping people build wealth, not just settle loans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client borrowing capacity and structure lending strategies aligned with long-term portfolio growth
  • Structure and manage construction loans for house and land packages, dual income properties, and duplex developments
  • Manage construction drawdown processes and liaise with lenders on progress payment schedules
  • Guide clients through refinancing, equity releases, and repeat property acquisitions
  • Manage the full loan process from application through to settlement
  • Conduct 6–12 month portfolio reviews to assess financial position and future lending opportunities
  • Liaise with lenders, credit teams, valuers, and solicitors throughout the process
  • Maintain strong relationships with lender BDMs and stay across investment lending and construction policy changes
  • Keep accurate records across Mercury CRM and Connective aggregator platform
  • Ensure full compliance with NCCP responsible lending obligations


Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years mortgage broking experience with a strong investor lending focus
  • Proven experience structuring construction loans and managing progress payment processes
  • Solid understanding of investment lending policies across major lenders
  • Demonstrated loan settlement track record
  • Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (Diploma preferred)
  • Current MFAA or FBAA membership
  • Ability to operate as a Credit Representative under JR Financial Solutions

  • A genuine interest in property investment and long-term wealth building
  • Familiarity with Mercury CRM and Connective
