Maintenance Supervisor - Inglewood, CA Compensation: 27.00 to 33.00 per hour

This position blends hands on technical work with leadership responsibilities. You will guide a maintenance team, manage daily operations, and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. The role includes participation in a rotating on call schedule for after hours emergencies.
What You Will Lead

Team Leadership Train, supervise, and support maintenance staff. Assign work orders, manage schedules, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive, professional team environment.

Hands On Technical Work Perform and oversee advanced repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems. Ensure all work meets high quality and safety standards.

Operations Management Manage the full work order process from start to finish. Coordinate vendor work, inspect completed repairs, and oversee unit turnovers to ensure timely and high quality make ready preparation.

Budget & Inventory Oversight Assist with maintenance budgeting, track expenses, manage inventory, and order supplies to maintain efficiency and stay within budget guidelines.

Property Condition & Quality Control Conduct regular property inspections, identify issues proactively, and ensure the community maintains strong curb appeal and operational readiness.
What You Bring
Required for all applicants:
- Fluent English communication skills for resident interaction, staff leadership, and interpreting technical manuals
- Two to three years of maintenance supervisory experience in residential property management
- Demonstrated experience supervising one or more employees
- Advanced hands on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- EPA Universal Certification
- HVAC Certification (required for roles in NV, TX, and San Bernardino County, CA)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to participate in a rotating on call schedule
- General computer skills for managing work orders and reporting
For higher level roles (II–V):
- Experience managing larger communities (200 to 750 plus units)
- Experience supervising larger maintenance teams
- Additional certifications or advanced technical expertise
