Lead Revenue Cycle Supervisor (FQHC Environment) – Brockport, NY

Compensation: $75,000–$82,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Schedule: Full-time, Onsite (5 days/week), Travel to Local Sites Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations—including billing, coding, claims processing, and accounts receivable—across all 10 medical offices.
  • Manage high-volume claims (1,000+), coordinate billing activities, and ensure consistency in processes and compliance at every location.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with third-party billing companies and external vendors; maintain productive relationships to optimize claim outcomes.
  • Analyze AR, billing, and financial reports; identify trends and initiate prompt follow-ups to ensure accurate, timely reimbursement and minimize denials.
  • Ensure compliance with all payer, regulatory, and FQHC-specific billing requirements; conduct weekly audits and prepare reports for leadership and audits.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor revenue cycle staff; communicate billing/coding updates and implement process improvements.
  • Partner with credentialing, front office, and provider teams to resolve billing issues, support onboarding, and ensure accurate provider setup.
  • Regularly travel to all Brockport-area medical offices to provide onsite support, training, and leadership.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise managing high-volume claims (1,000+ per month) and multi-site billing operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and FQHC billing practices and regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10), billing systems, and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills; proven ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, confidentiality, and commitment to patient privacy.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and adaptable—able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to all office locations within the Brockport region.


Education & Experience

  • Associate Degree in Medical Billing, Medical Office Administration, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
  • Certified Medical Billing Specialist (CMBS) and/or Certified Medical Coder (CPC, COC) highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive billing and coding experience in a healthcare setting (required).
  • Prior experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar community health environment (strongly preferred).
  • Experience supervising revenue cycle operations across multiple sites is a plus.
