This shop is looking for an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join their growing team. IA Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of diesel and gas-powered vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and efficient for our clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and other fleet vehicles (gas and diesel engines).
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Collaborate with leadership to determine the best repair solutions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
  • Work across a variety of vehicles including Chevrolet, Mack, Volvo, Kenworth, and Freightliner.
  • Maintain compliance with industry and regulatory standards (NYS Inspection License preferred).
  • Conduct routine inspections, anticipating potential issues to provide proactive repairs.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair (diesel expertise preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic and critical-thinking skills (not just a “parts changer”).
  • Valid driver’s license and a commitment to safe driving.
  • NYS Inspection license preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on communication and collaboration.
