Automotive Shop in Alton, IL looking for experienced Body Shop Estimator's to join their team. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating with customers, insurance companies, and technicians to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and according to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Damage Assessment: Inspect vehicles to identify and document damage. Determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage. Assess additional issues that may impact repairs (e.g., frame damage, alignment issues).
  • Preparing Estimates: Calculate repair costs based on labor, parts, and materials required. Use computerized estimating software (CCC) to generate accurate estimates. Provide detailed explanations of repair estimates to customers and insurance companies.
  • Customer Communication: Explain repair processes and timelines to customers. Address customer concerns and answer questions about repairs. Obtain necessary approvals and signatures for repair work.
  • Insurance Coordination: Work with insurance adjusters to review estimates and negotiate repair costs. Provide documentation and photos to support repair estimates. Follow up on insurance claims and ensure timely payment for services.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate repairs with the customer, production team and technicians.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Body Shop Estimator or similar role in automotive repair.
  • Proficiency with estimating software CCC
  • Experience with DRP (Direct Repair Partners) process
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, repair techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
