Well established Porsche performance / service facility in Fitchburg, WI is looking for an experienced Paint and Body Technician. This independent shop specializes in Porsche performance, racing and restorations. In business for well over 36 years and has proven on track and off track results. Quality and customer service are key for their numerous years of success! REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
  • 3+ years or more experience repairing heavily damaged vehicles in the custom car, truck and/or Hot Rod industry; European car experience a plus
  • Restoration skills needed as well
  • Welding skills (Tig & Mig), required
  • Paint knowledge; a plus (Sikkens Products)
  • Experience in the Composites Field, a plus
  • Ability to identify issues and make recommendations to improve existing processes
  • Thrive in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
  • Motivated to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to change
  • Self-supply basic personal tools
  • European paint / body work experience is a plus
  • Technician Portfolio / pictures available to send showing previous work is a plus


POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the department
  • Properly repair collision damage
  • Body sheet metal fab and repair
  • Structural fabrication
  • Panel replacement and panel design
  • Fiberglass work
  • Prepare and repair vehicle according to manufacturer standards
  • De-trim, disassemble, and repair vehicle with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Maintain proper record of time and materials
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, coworkers, and other departments
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
