Automotive shop in Farmingdale, NY searching for experienced Automotive technicians (A/B Level) to join their Car and Truck shop. We specialize in servicing heavy-duty and medium trucks (both diesel and gas), working on a range of domestic, Asian, Euro, and some hybrid vehicles. Our shop is equipped with a dedicated team of experienced technicians.


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of hands-on experience working with all makes and models. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues related to engines, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair check engine lights and related issues on a range of domestic, Asian, Euro, and some hybrid vehicles and medium to heavy-duty trucks.
  • Perform repairs on suspension systems, ensuring proper alignment and vehicle safety.
  • Conduct steering and brake repairs, maintaining vehicle handling and stopping power.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including wiring, battery systems, and lighting.
  • Use diagnostic tools to evaluate and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a technician, with a focus on medium to heavy-duty trucks.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment used in diesel truck repairs.
  • Proficiency in repairing and maintaining suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot check engine lights and perform necessary repairs.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
