$50-$65k base salary + commission. Successful advisor earns over $90k

Automotive shop in Farmingdale, NY searching for experienced Automotive Service Advisors to join their Truck and Car shop. We specialize in servicing heavy-duty and medium trucks (both diesel and gas), working on a range of domestic, Asian, Euro, and some hybrid vehicles. Our shop is equipped with a dedicated team of experienced technicians.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor with 3+ years of experience. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow into a long-term career, as our shop offers numerous training opportunities and encourages professional development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service, ideally with experience in diesel trucks and fleet management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service, focusing on solving customer problems rather than aggressive sales tactics
• Manage service orders and coordinate between technicians and customers
• Oversee a busy shop with 80–90 work orders at any given time
• Work closely with our team of 3 advisors, a service manager, and office manager
• Contribute to an ethical, positive, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Service Advisor role
• Knowledge of diesel and gas trucks, heavy-duty/medium vehicles preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, outgoing, and bubbly personality
• Ability to thrive in a busy environment

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
