POSITION SUMMARY



Senior Director of Private Equity (PE) is responsible for initiating, qualifying, and materializing leads in the PE sector to generate sales of consulting services focused on supply chain. The candidate will be responsible for managing new and existing customer partnerships to capture market share within the PE vertical. In doing so, he/she will create and deploy targeted commercial strategies that will lead to solid market penetration required to meet revenue targets and drive profitable growth.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Own the direction and development of specific go-to-market strategies for prospective clients. (Client prioritization will be focused on PE).

• Develop compelling propositions to connect client needs with the firm’s core capabilities and offerings.

• Exercise high-quality judgment in the allocation of time/effort to the development of a prospective client relationship.

• Operate and manage expectations at the C-suite level.

• Ensure that a highly professional, targeted, and intelligence-led go-to-market approach is developed and executed to match client needs with the firm’s proposition.

• Ensure that the sales effort is 100% focused on accurately reflecting the firm's operating model, culture, and practices.

• Assume account development responsibilities regarding the long-term development of client relationships while securing immediate-term opportunities.


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Master’s degree or equivalent.

• Relevant direct operational experience in PE

• Relevant experience in Consulting Services, preferably both in business development and analysis and/or delivery.

• Experience in building, cultivating, and sustaining top-producing relationships with C-suite level clients in PE. High focus on new client development.

• The ability to draw on existing networks and contacts in the PE sector is desirable.

• Self-starter and ability to work highly independently.

• Ability to sell PE as an individual contributor.



SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Skilled in qualifying the business from a service perspective including determining client service needs, estimating scope & resources, and developing initial approach and workstream plans.

• Ability to develop and ensure successful execution of complex, multi-faceted sales strategy/implementation across all sub-sectors within the PE vertical.

• Robust negotiation skills and the ability to lead key negotiations at a senior level.

• Outstanding written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to communicate positively, directly, and with impact to all levels.

• Ability to inspire and motivate the team and the client to act with a sense of urgency and take action to achieve engagement and solve complex business issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Detailed-oriented problem solver with a proven ability to recognize a problem and implement corrective action when needed.

• Ability to develop, sustain, and proactively manage value-added customer relationships.

• Solid listening, probing, and influencing skills.

• Proven capability to proactively manage and resolve conflict and remove objections.

• Proven initiative drives and ability to focus team members on details.

• Ability to effectively manage change and work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

• Proven sales record in similar verticals.



OTHER COMMENTS/REQUIREMENTS

Willingness to travel North America, with the vast majority being domestic (80%)
