Job Summary:

As a Business Analyst in the Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing strategies and solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your insights and recommendations will help the organization optimize its supply chain operations and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data related to supply chain activities, including inventory management, procurement, logistics, and distribution.
  2. Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks within the supply chain and work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  4. Forecasting: Utilize historical data and statistical analysis to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels, ensuring that products are available when needed while minimizing carrying costs.
  5. Vendor and Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and work on strategies to improve vendor relationships and sourcing efficiency.
  6. Technology and Tools: Evaluate and recommend the adoption of technology and software solutions to enhance supply chain processes, such as inventory management systems, transportation management systems, and data analytics tools.
  7. Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, such as optimizing transportation routes, minimizing excess inventory, and reducing supply chain-related expenses.
  8. Communication: Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure effective communication and coordination across the supply chain.
  9. Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to communicate supply chain performance and improvements to key stakeholders and management.
  10. Compliance: Ensure that the supply chain operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred for senior positions.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within the supply chain domain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Certification in supply chain management or business analysis may be a plus.
