You can live anywhere in the USA. Travel is 80% weekly. To qualify for this role you must have deep Supply Chain Management (SCM) experience as well as 10+ years of consulting, and client-facing, experience from a well-known consulting firm. (Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, IBM, McKinsey, Infosys, etc.) You will NOT be considered without proven consulting experience from a known consulting firm.

Our esteemed client, a global supply chain and operations consulting firm is actively seeking an accomplished Engagement Director specializing in Procurement or Logistics, or Operations in SCM. Renowned for advising top executives and private equity firms, our client is dedicated to delivering substantial economic returns for their partners.


Join an exceptional team where the Engagement Director, will strategically and tactically oversee the entire engagement process. This role represents the highest level of commitment to a specific client assignment, managing the client relationship and serving as a source of inspiration for both internal and client teams. The Engagement Director is tasked with delivering measurable financial benefits in a dynamic environment, ensuring the timely completion of tasks, and achieving engagement initiatives within established timeframes and budgets. Responsibilities also include meeting client commitments by delivering measurable cash and EBITDA, aligning with client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivate productive relationships with client executives, ensuring ongoing alignment, effective communication, and timely execution of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to define and track the top three success criteria of the Sponsor/Decision Maker throughout the engagement.
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions, promptly addressing engagement constraints.
  • Align client engagement with goals and deliverables, developing a deep understanding of client financial performance and business needs.
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with the client C-Suite, driving additional work and Total Value of Ownership (TVO) journeys.
  • Solicit client testimonials, referrals, and references at the conclusion of the engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain and strategic procurement.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably leading consulting or business transformation projects.
  • Previous experience in an implementation consulting firm.
  • Proven success in leading change within budget constraints and timelines, delivering measurable financial results.
  • Background in sourcing and procurement of raw materials and/or finished goods.
  • Knowledge of commodity markets and experience with traditional purchasing processes.

Other Comments/Requirements:
