Building Materials Manufacturing & Distribution

Location: North Texas or Phoenix, AZ

Overview

• Hands-on Controller role for a multi-location building materials manufacturer and distributor

• Owns accounting, reporting, and financial controls

• Partners closely with operations and senior leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

• Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

• Ensure US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls

• Oversee inventory, WIP, and manufacturing cost accounting

• Partner with operations on margin and cost visibility

• Manage AP, AR, GL, payroll, and accounting staff

• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and external partners

• Own accounting functions within the ERP system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Manufacturing and/or distribution accounting background

• Strong inventory and cost accounting experience

• ERP experience (Epicor, Dynamics, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)

• Advanced Excel skills

Preferred

• Multi-location experience

• Building materials, construction-related or manufacturing industry background

Location & Travel

• Based in Fort Worth/DFW or Phoenix metro

• Occasional travel between locations
