Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wall Panel Designer to support our growing multifamily business. This role is responsible for designing accurate and efficient wall panel layouts using architectural and structural plans, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that designs meet customer specifications, code requirements, and production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret multifamily architectural and structural plans
• Design wall panel layouts using industry-standard design software
• Produce accurate shop drawings, material lists, and production files
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and production teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
• Communicate directly with customers, engineers, and jobsite personnel to resolve design-related questions
• Ensure designs meet building codes, structural requirements, and company standards
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience designing prefabricated wall panels, preferably in multifamily construction
• Proficiency with design software (MiTek is highly preferred)
• Strong understanding of wood framing and construction practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
