With decades of success in delivering precision-engineered components for commercial, multifamily, and institutional construction projects, the company is expanding its design team.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Light Gauge Steel Truss Designer who can contribute to high-profile structural framing projects across the region.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Design light gauge steel roof and floor truss systems using industry-standard software
- Read and interpret architectural and structural plans
- Collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and production teams to ensure accuracy and manufacturability
- Prepare construction drawings, layout plans, and material take-offs
- Communicate directly with customers, engineers, and field personnel as needed
- Ensure designs meet building code and engineering requirements
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in cold-formed steel or light gauge truss design
- Proficiency with relevant design software, prefer Alpine TruSteel
- Strong understanding of framing systems, connection details, and structural load paths
- Ability to work from construction documents and develop clear, buildable shop drawings
- Attention to detail and a team-first attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Experience working in a truss or wall panel manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ICC codes and relevant industry standards
- Prior experience with shop fabrication support or design/build projects
