Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Lead Outside Sales Representative/Siding Product Manager with expertise in Fiber Cement siding, particularly Hardie products, to join our team. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, sales acumen, and product management skills. As a player-coach, you will lead a team of outside sales representatives while actively engaging in sales activities yourself.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and mentor a team of outside sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve sales targets and foster professional growth.
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and market share in the Fiber Cement siding segment, with a focus on Hardie products.
· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, builders, and architects to drive sales opportunities and promote brand awareness.
· Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
· Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop effective sales collateral, promotional materials, and product enhancements.
· Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
· Act as a subject matter expert on Fiber Cement siding products, providing technical support, product recommendations, and solutions to customers and team members.
· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the company's presence and build strategic partnerships.
· Uphold company values, policies, and standards of professionalism in all interactions and transactions.
Requirements:
· Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the building materials industry with a focus on Fiber Cement siding products, particularly Hardie.
· Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing sales teams.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· In-depth knowledge of Fiber Cement siding products, installation techniques, and building codes.
· Ability to travel within the assigned territory and attend occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
· Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools.
· Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities and market conditions.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
