We are seeking an experienced Lumber Estimator – Wall Panels to join our team. This role is critical in preparing precise takeoffs, cost estimates, and material lists for wall panel projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in wood framing and engineered components, particularly in multifamily and light commercial construction, and is proficient in MiTek software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates for wall panels and associated lumber components.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accurate material requirements.
• Utilize MiTek software to generate estimates and optimize material usage.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and sales teams to align estimates with project goals.
• Source pricing from suppliers and work to optimize costs and lead times.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay current on building codes, industry standards, and lumber market trends.
• Support the team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring estimates align with procurement and production needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of estimating experience in lumber, wall panels, or framing systems.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MiTek software is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of wood framing, wall panel construction, and engineered lumber products.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to ensure accuracy in all estimates and takeoffs.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
