Prominent Building Materials dealer specializing in direct sales to residential home builders and multi-family general contractors is seeking a President. With a solid foundation and a revenue of over $100 million, the company is poised for significant growth through strategic initiatives and acquisitions.


Role Overview:

As the President you will be instrumental in driving substantial growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. You will be responsible for implementing the company's strategic vision, enhancing our value proposition, and leading initiatives to boost sales and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving P&L impact and EBITDA improvement through strategic leadership in the building materials industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy, focusing on both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
  • Identify market opportunities and trends to enhance the company's competitive positioning and drive revenue growth.
  • Implement initiatives to strengthen the company's value proposition and increase market share.
  1. Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the business, ensuring efficient processes and optimal resource utilization.
  • Lead integration efforts for acquired businesses, driving synergies and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement best practices to improve productivity, streamline operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to track progress towards growth targets.
  • Implement strategies to improve profitability and enhance shareholder value.
  1. Leadership and Team Development:
  • Provide strong leadership to the executive team and employees, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  • Mentor and develop talent within the organization, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of leadership and executive management experience in the building materials industry, with a focus on lumberyards.
  • Demonstrated success in driving significant organic growth and integrating acquisitions to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with a focus on driving P&L impact and EBITDA improvement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving business growth and building wealth through equity ownership.
