We are seeking an experienced Multifamily Truss Designer to join the team at our longstanding truss and panel manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing multifamily residential truss systems and a thorough understanding of building codes and construction standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and draft multifamily residential truss systems using MiTek software.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop efficient and cost-effective truss designs.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to create accurate truss layouts.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Provide technical support and expertise to sales and customer service teams as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to truss design and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of  experience in multifamily truss design.
• Proficiency in truss software such as MiTek, Alpine or Simpson.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and structural principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
