As the financial ecosystem continues to shift toward programmable, always-on infrastructure, this team is focused on enabling trusted, secure platforms that underpin next-generation financial applications.
As a Lead Security Architect, you'll play a critical role in designing and strengthening the company’s security architecture across cloud, application, and endpoint layers. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and leadership to identify risk, shape long-term security strategy, and ensure systems remain resilient in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
This position is remote-friendly but requires residence in the Greater Boston area due to periodic on-site responsibilities supporting executive and technical operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and evolve scalable, cloud-first security architecture aligned with organizational goals
- Apply technical judgment to evaluate security risk, propose controls, and influence product architecture
- Integrate endpoint-level protections to ensure comprehensive defense and system integrity
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and architecture/code reviews
- Support on-site network and endpoint security for executive operations during key events
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into the development lifecycle and future-proof systems
- Lead proactive assessments and improvements of network and infrastructure security posture
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 2 years focused on architecture
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- Strong understanding of endpoint and infrastructure security at scale
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholders
- Experience conducting architectural reviews, threat modeling, and defining technical controls
- Self-starter mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in financial or highly regulated industries
- Experience working in high-trust environments such as fintech or digital assets is a plus
- Comfort using collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, GSuite, macOS environments)
