San Francisco, CA
Apply for this job

A well-funded Series A startup is building AI-powered automation tools for a legacy industry that's long overdue for change. The current workflows in this space are fragmented and manual — often requiring hours of repetitive communication to complete simple transactions. This team is applying modern AI systems to streamline and scale those operations end-to-end.

The product is already in use by several major players in the industry and continues to see rapid growth. As one of the earliest engineering hires, you’ll be central to building new product features, developing AI-powered integrations, and helping define both technical direction and company culture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and ship product features from scratch
  • Lead efforts around integrating AI into complex, high-volume workflows
  • Work closely with users to understand pain points and deliver improvements
  • Help establish engineering best practices in a fast-moving environment

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience building production-grade software systems
  • Self-starter with high ownership — startup experience or strong personal projects a plus
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate (this is a fully in-person role)
  • Energized by hard problems, ambiguity, and moving quickly
  • Motivated by impact and excited to work on AI-driven tools in a real-world setting

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, highly driven team applying AI to reshape an essential yet underserved part of the economy.
