Job Description



Job Title: Oracle HCM Fusion Developer

Team: HR Service Delivery

Reporting to: HCM Product Owner


 

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Fusion Developer with 5 years of expertise to join our team on a fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in configuring HCM systems, developing reports, performing system administration tasks, and mentoring team members. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), including data configuration and visualization, will be an added advantage.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Skills Required

·      HCM System Configuration: Implement and configure Oracle HCM Cloud modules, including Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management to meet business requirements.​

·      Talent and Recruitment Modules: Optimize Oracle Recruiting and Talent Management modules to enhance candidate engagement, streamline hiring processes, and support onboarding activities.​

·      Report Development: Design and develop reports using Oracle HCM reporting tools to support business needs.​

·      System Administration: Manage user roles, security profiles, and system settings to ensure data integrity and compliance.​

·      Fast Formula Development: Create and maintain Fast Formulas to customize calculations and validations within the HCM system.​

·      Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI): Knowledge to configure data pipelines, manage data loads, and create custom visualizations and reports within Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence to provide actionable insights.​

·      Data Integration: Develop and maintain HCM Data Loader (HDL) templates for efficient data migration and integration tasks. This includes creating and managing .dat files, understanding the HDL file format, and ensuring accurate data mapping and transformation.​

·      Redwood Experience: Leverage Oracle's Redwood design principles to enhance user experience and interface design.​

·      User Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Oracle HCM applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.​

·      Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor team members and end-users to foster a knowledgeable workforce.


 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience



Essential

·      5 years of experience as an Oracle HCM Cloud Consultant or similar role.​

·      Oracle HCM Cloud certification(s).

·      Proficiency in configuring Oracle HCM Cloud modules such as Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor, Absence Management, Talent Management, and Recruitment.​

·       Strong experience in developing reports using Oracle HCM reporting tools.​

·      Solid understanding of system administration tasks, including user role management and security profile configuration.​

·      Experience with Oracle Fast Formula for customization purposes.

·      Proficiency in creating and managing HCM Data Loader (HDL) templates for data migration. This includes designing and configuring HDL templates to load various business objects, understanding the structure and components of HDL .dat files, and ensuring data integrity during the data loading process.​

·       Familiarity with HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL) for bulk data loading.​

·      Knowledge of Oracle's Redwood design principles and their application in enhancing user interfaces.​

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.​

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for training and mentoring others.

·      Continuous Learning and Adaptability: A commitment to staying updated with the latest Oracle Fusion features and best practices demonstrates dedication to professional growth

 

Desirable

·      Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organisations, preferably within the Construction industry

·      Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is beneficial for managing and deploying Oracle Fusion applications.

·      Knowledge of integration tools and methodologies for connecting Oracle HCM with other systems.

·      Knowledge of methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall, along with stakeholder management abilities, supports effective implementation of Oracle Fusion projects

·      Experience in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI),

✅ Driving system configuration & maintenance across the Oracle HCM Cloud suite.

✅ Delivering high-impact reporting and data insights using OTBI and BI Publisher.

✅ Managing seamless data loads and integrations (HDL/HSDL).

✅ Supporting Payroll & Absence management to ensure operational excellence.


What I'm looking for:

🔹 Hands-on Oracle HCM Cloud experience.

🔹 Proficiency in Core HR, Payroll, Recruitment, and/or Talent modules.

🔹 SQL skills and a methodical problem-solving mindset.

🔹 Knowledge of Oracle’s Visual Builder.

🔹 Experience with UK Payroll is a huge plus!
