The Role:

We’re looking for a Founding Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team of five, working directly with our CTO and other talented engineers. Your primary focus will be designing and implementing scalable ML infrastructure, optimizing AI model training and inference pipelines, and integrating models with decentralized networks. This role is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects and make a real impact in an emerging field.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with an early-stage cross-functional team to design and implement AI-driven solutions in a decentralized environment.
• Develop scalable, efficient, and privacy-preserving machine learning models using Python.
• Optimize AI inference costs and efficiency while integrating models into a blockchain-powered network.
• Design and build secure APIs and data pipelines for AI model training and deployment.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML, distributed computing, and blockchain technologies.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven experience working on technically challenging ML/AI projects, especially in distributed or decentralized systems.
• Proficiency in Python, with expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Strong understanding of ML model training, optimization, and inference at scale.
• Experience with deploying models in production and optimizing performance.
• A hands-on approach to debugging and troubleshooting complex AI/ML systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with blockchain fundamentals, including smart contracts and cryptographic principles.
• Familiarity with federated learning, zero-knowledge proofs, or privacy-preserving AI techniques.
• Background in sparse computation or experience with Solana or other blockchain-based infrastructure.
• Passion for security, efficiency, and the intersection of AI and decentralized systems.
