WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Drive design and deployment of scalable, decentralized AI systems at the intersection of blockchain and machine learning as a core collaborator with our team. Areas and projects of focus can include various tasks/goals. Generally speaking, the person hired for this role will work on the following; 

• Architect and implement high-performance, cost-efficient AI inference systems that integrate with our SVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain.
• Lead development of distributed training frameworks, secure APIs, and data pipelines to support a 600B+ parameter model and its fine-tunes.
• Translate research into production-grade code and guide the evolution of an evergreen, open-source model architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Rust and protocol engineers to embed AI into decentralized infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and strong engineering hygiene.
• Influence product direction and technical strategy, while mentoring teammates and staying current on advancements in AI, blockchain, and distributed systems.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

• 5+ years of experience developing python code in distributed, or decentralized, production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Experience building frameworks from scratch
• Ability to translate academic research into production-ready solution
• Experience with asynchronous programming and/or inter-process communication
• Understanding of model training, distributed inference, and performance optimization at scale

NICE TO HAVE:

• Basic understanding of blockchain principles, consensus mechanisms, and decentralized system design
• Experience with Solana, Rust, or contributions to SVM-compatible blockchain infrastructure
• Familiarity with privacy-preserving AI, sparsification, federated learning, or zero-knowledge proofs
• Experience bridging AI to decentralized systems at the infrastructure layer
• Contributions to open-source projects or published research in ML, AI infra, or blockchain
