Summary

The Project Manager (Municipal) is responsible for day-to-day execution of assigned projects, including managing, coordinating, and supervising subcontractors, vendors, and personnel to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with the company’s quality standards. This role also includes oversight and support of superintendents, as well as the promotion of the company’s safety culture. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple municipal and education projects, with the ability to handle fast-paced assignments that may have limited drawings or scopes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead municipal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures while monitoring costs and profitability.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Process and manage subcontractor payments, change orders, and monthly cost reporting.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project owners, leading meetings and providing regular status updates.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members, including superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage project documentation, permits, inspections, and closeout activities efficiently.

 

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Construction Engineering preferred, or BS in Engineering with relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple municipal projects at once, including developing project plans with limited drawings or scopes.
  • Familiarity with estimating and conceptual estimating.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with potential clients.
  • Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
